Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose and Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy ('AUP') sets out the conduct Tolinks requires from everyone who uses the Platform — whether as a page owner, a visitor, or in any other capacity. It supplements the Terms of Service. A breach of this AUP is a breach of the Terms.

2. Prohibited Content

You must not use the Platform to host, publish, or link to content (including links, buttons, text, images, QR codes, embeds, or page décor) that:

• is unlawful in India or your jurisdiction, including content that violates the IT Act, 2000, the IPC / Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, intellectual property or data protection law;
• is pornographic, sexual, or sexually explicit in a way that violates law, or depicts the sexual exploitation of children or non-consenting adults;
• harasses, bullies, defames, threatens, or incites violence against any person or group, including content that constitutes hate speech on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex, or disability;
• transmits malware, viruses, ransomware, spyware, or code designed to harm devices, networks, or services;
• phishes, scams, or is designed to steal credentials, money, or personal data (financial scams, impersonation of banks, government agencies, or other brands with deceptive intent);
• infringes copyright, trademark, patent, or other rights of third parties (see the Copyright Policy);
• contains sensitive personal data of third parties disclosed without consent, or content that violates the DPDP Act, 2023;
• advertises or facilitates prohibited goods or services (illegal weapons, narcotics, counterfeit products, weapons of mass destruction), to the extent such facilitation violates law;
• impersonates another person or organisation, or misrepresents affiliation with Tolinks.

3. Prohibited Conduct

You must not, through the Platform:

• Access, probe, or scrape the Platform, our systems, or other users' data without authorisation, including bypassing rate limits, authentication, or bot protections;
• Attempt to compromise security — including credential stuffing, enumeration of other accounts, exploitation of vulnerabilities, or interference with infrastructure;
• Harvest visitor data at scale from pages, or build databases of user content without permission;
• Send bulk unsolicited messages through pages (including via newsletter or lead forms), or use the Platform to facilitate email or SMS spam;
• Use the Platform for denial-of-service attacks or other abuse of third-party services;
• Resell, white-label, or provide Platform access to third parties in a way that circumvents subscription fees, or create accounts to obtain free benefits repeatedly;
• Exercise trademark or other rights that would cause deception regarding your relationship with Tolinks.

4. Pages Interacting With Children

The Platform is a general-audience service and pages may not be directed at children under 18. You may not use the Platform to collect personal data of children, and content of a sexual or grooming nature involving minors is prohibited absolutely, whether or not compliant with local law.

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations, and enforce this AUP by warning, removal of specific content, suspension or termination of accounts, blocking of handles, or referral to law enforcement, at our discretion and as required by law (including the IT Rules, 2021 obligations for intermediaries).

Where practicable, we will first warn you and give you an opportunity to remedy the violation. Where the violation is severe (for example, malware, fraud, or child exploitation material), we may act immediately and without notice.

In addition to our own enforcement, we may comply with orders issued by courts, the government, or the Grievance Officer processes described in the Grievance Redressal Policy.

6. Reporting Violations

You can report content or conduct that violates this AUP to our Grievance Officer using the procedure on the Grievance Redressal page, or by writing to abuse@tolinks.in. Reports may be anonymous, but including the specific page URL and a description helps us act faster. We will acknowledge reports and act as described in the Grievance Redressal Policy.

We take reports seriously and, where content appears unlawful, may act proactively to remove or disable access, as required of intermediaries under Section 79 of the IT Act, 2000.

7. Changes

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes are posted here and, where appropriate, announced to registered users. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
